New England Red Sox defeat the DC Thunder 2-1 to take their 6th National Championship
Five teams traveled to Dubois County, Indiana to play their national championship series at League Stadium - the scene of the famous movie "A League of Their Own". The teams were:
1. Washington DC Thunder
2. San Francisco Bay Sox
3. Chicago Pioneers
4. Chicago Stealth
5. New England Red Sox

The Eastern Women's Baseball Conference hosted its 4th Baltimore-Washington Invitational (BWI) Diamond Classic on May 23-25. The New England Red Sox again dominated the competition.

The Philadelphia Women's Baseball League will host its 3rd Liberty Bell Classic on Labor Day weekend - September 5-7, 2009. The tournament is played at Richie Asburn Field in South Philadelphia. More details will be posted when available. |
